Michal Mossek began her horn studies at the age of twelve and graduated from the Israel Arts and Science Academy high school in Jerusalem.

With the help of a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation received between 1987 and 1997, she studied with Dale Clevenger, Principal Horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. During her studies, she performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra. After serving in the IDF unit for outstanding musicians, Michal played as assistant first horn with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra IBA from 1995 to 2003. An additional scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation enabled her to return to her studies at Indiana University Bloomington.

She has participated in the East-West Divan Orchestra workshops led by Maestro Daniel Barenboim and performed at the Red Sea Festival, Kefar Blum Chamber Music Festival, the Verbier Festival, and the Interlocken Festival.

Michal is a member of the 21st Century Ensemble.
