Julia Rovinsky is Principal Harpist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches at Tel Aviv University.

She appears regularly as a soloist and in many chamber music ensembles and has taken part in many festivals in Israel and around the world. She gave recitals in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Born in St. Petersburg, Julia graduated from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and was a 1988 prize winner of the National Harp Competition in Moscow. Since immigrating to Israel in 1991, she has become a central figure in Israel’s concert scene. She has performed chamber music in various festivals around the globe and has given master classes in various schools.

In 2002, she won the Prime Minister Award for Best Performance of Israeli music. Throughout her career, Julia has recorded several harp and chamber music albums.
