Born in Israel, he began piano playing at the age of six and trumpet playing at the age of 12. Studied with Rafi Glazer and Robert Freer (Israeli Philharmonic) and the Thelma Yellin School. He did military service in the IAF. He then studied at the Berlin High School of the Arts with Professor Conradin Grott (Berlin Philharmonic) and completed his bachelor’s degree. During his stay there, he was also a student at the Herbert von Karayan Academy, during which he played with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for two years.

From 1995 to 2002 he served as the first trumpet player in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Beginning in the 2005-6 season, he is a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and also performs as a soloist and chamber concerts in Israel and abroad. He also teaches at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem
