David Segal, who joined the ranks of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 2014, brings with him a spirit of sincerity in playing the bass bass.

Born in Israel, he began his career in the Young Philharmonic Orchestra, the Buchman-Mehta School of Music and the Juilliard Orchestra. In addition to his specialization in classical music, he devotes time to other diverse areas of music, including jazz, theater music and a accompanist for popular music singers.

After settling in New York in 2008, he appeared in many halls in the city, including Alice Tully Hall and Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Highline Hall, Red Fish and more.

Mr. Segal graduated from New York School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and holds a Master’s Degree from Juilliard School. Among his teachers are Magen Magen, who was the Contrabass player in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Eugene Levinson, former Chief Contrabass Player of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra
