Daniel Mazaki, Principal Bassoon of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2011, has served as Principal Bassoon of the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, Cologne Opera Orchestra, West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Bonn Chamber Orchestra, Cologne Chamber Orchestra, and Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion.

He has participated in major festivals, including the Pacific Music Festival in Japan and Schleswig-Holstein, and has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, and the Tel Aviv Ensemble. Born in Rehovot, Israel, he studied with Mauricio Paez in Israel and Dag Jensen at the Hanover Hochschule für Musik.
