Carol Patterson joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1991.

Born in Toronto, Canada, Carol was inspired by music teacher, Bob Krueger, to play bassoon in high school. Her studies led her to Indiana University Bloomington, where she was exposed to Mordecai Rechtman, a legendary musician and former IPO Principal Bassoon.

Carol plays both second bassoon and the contrabassoon.
