Initiatives in Israel

The Orchestra

Endow a Seat in the Charles Bronfman Auditorium: $2,500-$10,000
Endow a seat in the Lowy Concert Hall and create a permanent bond with the Israel Philharmonic. A brass plaque will be affixed to your endowed seat with an inscription of your choosing. Seats may also be named in honor or in memory of a loved one.

IPO Musicians’ Chair: $25,000-$800,000

Nicknamed an “orchestra of soloists,” the Israel Philharmonic is made up of over 100 highly talented and sought-after musicians. Endow a musician’s chair to ensure that your support is channeled directly to the section of your choice and provides the opportunity to establish a special, personal connection with the musician who occupies the endowed chair.

Dedicate a Concert: $150,000-$300,000

Underwriting a concert in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, or Haifa is an important, sustained gift to support the heart and soul of the Orchestra. For a period of a maximum of 30 years, the IPO will play one concert per year in honor of you or a loved one.

Commissioning Fund: $25,000

The creation and performance of new symphonic-scale works is essential for classical music to remain a relevant and expanding art form in the 21st century. This is especially important for Israel, whose tradition of original composition is a relatively recent one and is a priority for the orchestra and Music Director. The IPO Commissioning Fund sponsors the creation of new works by today’s most talented Israeli composers and brings these compositions to life with world premieres and ongoing performances by the IPO in Israel and abroad.

Capital Improvements: $50,000-$1,000,000

Central Tel Aviv, including the Charles Bronfman Auditorium, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the Bauhaus tradition, the Auditorium is one of the most important works in the history of Israeli architecture. Capital improvements in the Charles Bronfman Auditorium will have a lasting impact on everyone involved with the Israel Philharmonic—the IPO musicians, guest artists, conductors, and audiences of all ages—for generations to come. These sponsorships include exclusive naming rights with prominent signage.

War Relief and Nationwide Healing

Free Concert Tickets: $4,000-$250,000

The IPO offers complimentary concert tickets to displaced civilians and active duty IDF soldiers. Demand for this program has increased significantly, and the IPO is seeking an underwriter for both programs.

Community Healing Concerts in the Gardens of Tel Aviv: $2,500-$25,000

The people of Israel are inspirational for their strength and fortitude in the most trying of circumstances—they are also a deeply grieving nation. Everyone in Israel has been impacted; everyone is need of solace and comfort. The Israel Philharmonic has developed a special series of programs outside of the concert hall to bring music outdoors to the community.

Education, Community, and Social Impact

KeyNote Program: $10,000-$2,500,000

The Israel Philharmonic’s KeyNote Program for music education and community outreach was initiated by the orchestra in 2000. From kindergarten through college, the orchestra reaches out to young audiences through intimate sessions in the classroom, specially produced concerts for schools at Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, community projects, individual instruction, and master classes with guest artists and members of the orchestra. KeyNote has a diverse reach, bringing programming to more than 20,000 children each year in Jewish, Arab-Israeli, immigrant, religious, and secular K-12 Israeli schools. Its transformative programs encourage a shared passion for culture in the next generation. The program serves all Israeli citizens, and promotes openness, tolerance, and mutual respect.

Sulamot – Music for Social Change: $30,000-$600,000

Founded in 2010 by the Israel Philharmonic and the Faculty for Social Science at Tel Aviv University, Sulamot is a music outreach program with a mission to create social change by opening the world of music to children from varying socioeconomic backgrounds throughout Israeli society. Sulamot teaches young musicians that anything is possible and achievable through music. The program empowers children with skills that cultivate self-worth, youth development, and artistic achievement to help them become successful adults and citizens who are motivated to give back to their communities. Children who are part of Sulamot consistently display improved grades and higher self-esteem. More than 10,000 children have received free private and group instruction on instruments such as the trumpet, flute, saxophone, clarinet, violin, cello, guitar, oud, and darbuka. Sulamot serves children in all corners of the country

The Arab-Jewish Ensemble: $25,000-$500,000

This award-winning ensemble, Sheshbesh, comprised of outstanding Arab musicians from northern Israel and IPO members, showcases the power of music to build meaningful bridges between people. The seven-person ensemble presents unique repertoires, playing music of the Middle East, western classical music, and original compositions. Founded in 2000, the Ensemble appears regularly around the world in high-profile concerts and educational settings.
