CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF SULAMOT

On April 28, over 900 children from across Israel gathered at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium for a festive celebration of 15 years of Sulamot: Music for Social Change. The celebratory concert brought together Israel Philharmonic musicians along with graduates of the Sulamot program, musicians serving in the IDF, and more performing classical, Israeli, Arab, and rock music for the enthusiastic audience.

Founded in 2010 by the Israel Philharmonic and the Faculty for Social Science at Tel Aviv University, Sulamot creates social change through music. Sulamot’s programs—all free of charge—open the world of music to children from all racial, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds in Israel. During its 15 years of activity, over 10,000 children and teenagers, including children with blindness or visual impairments, have participated in the program. Today, Sulamot operates ten orchestras in Nazareth, Migdal HaEmek, Usafiya, Pardes Hana, Rehovot, Be’er Sheva, Arad, and Mitzpe Ramon.

We hope you enjoy these videos and photos from the celebration. You can learn more about Sulamot here.
