Support World-Class Music Education in Israel

Every Child Deserves the Chance to Create Music

Our music education programs are entirely free to children and young adults across Israel

Music is transformative – We offer children the opportunity to learn from current Orchestra musicians, who donate their time to educate the next generation on the wonders of classical music.

Music knows no bounds – We are proud to serve children and young adults of all races and religions and offer music as a force for peace.

Your donation…

  • Supports music for social good

  • Develops the next generation of classical music lovers

  • Allows a diverse group of children to experience the classical arts

  • Offers talented young musicians a platform to showcase their work

Most importantly, your donation always directly supports high-impact music education programs in Israel.

DONATE TODAY

Many of these children get the opportunity to hold an instrument, read music, and be a part of an orchestra for the first time through our music education programs. Their joy and amazement at the beauty of music can be seen in these videos.

Our organization provides essential support to music education from the world-class Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. We are proud to create a lasting impact on children across Israel through two community-building programs.

Sulamot

In Hebrew, Sulamot translates to both a ladder and a musical scale. The program combines these meanings and opens the world of music to children from diverse backgrounds. Shesh-Besh, the IPO’s Arab-Jewish Ensemble, joins Orchestra musicians with those from Northern Israel’s Arab community to perform in Israel and abroad.

More than 1,200 socioeconomically disadvantaged and special needs children…

  • Receive free private and group music instruction

  • Participate in student orchestras

  • Take part in an annual performance at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium

And for those ready to take the next step in their musical careers, the Zubin Mehta Stage for Young Talent invites talented young musicians to make their debut solo appearance with the orchestra.

More information can be found on the Sulamot website.

Keynote

Founded thanks to your generous support, KeyNote brings programming to more than 22,500 children a year in Jewish, Arab-Israeli, immigrant, religious, and secular K-12 Israeli schools.

Its transformative programs encourage a shared passion for culture in the next generation while promoting openness, tolerance, and mutual respect through music.

  • Kindergarten classes are joined by Orchestra musicians for interactive lessons and fun chamber performances.

  • Musicians perform in special chamber concerts and lead workshops for children in Grades 1 and 2.

  • Ensembles teach students in Grades 3 through 6 about classical music and prepare them for a special concert.

  • The Orchestra gives students in high school a variety of ways to improve their musical skills and appreciation.

Instrument Days allow music students to interact with orchestra members with events focused on specific instruments.
